‘Jazz’

1/12 to 2/27/2002

The great jazz artists of the 20th century are the subject of the exhibition JAZZ. Two photographers, William Gottlieb and Chuck Stewart, whose photographs begin with the Golden Age of Jazz, are included in the exhibition. In addition, photographs by the legendary Herman Leonard are also available. From Louis Armstrong and Count Basie to Dinah Washington and Mary Lou Williams, the roster of jazz luminaries includes most of the favorites of the American jazz scene.
