Chip Forelli

Chip Forelli is a master of beautifully crafted, enigmatic black and white landscape prints where man's mysterious presence frequently hovers nearby. He photographs for prestigious advertising and corporate clients as well as leading publications such as Communication Arts Photography Annual, Graphis, View Camera, Lenswork Quarterly, Sierra Magazine. Forelli was originally trained as an architect, but was drawn to photography because, he says: “it demands a fine balance between creative sensibility and skill in craft. If you alter the balance, you become either overly conceptual or preoccupied with technique.” Chip Forelli lives in New York City and teaches at the International Center of Photography, NY, the Cape Cod Photography Workshops in North Eastham, MA, and at the Maine Photographic Workshops in Rockport, Maine.
